Visual Media
This is the story of how hand modeling turned me into a cinematographer…
I was at a pivotal moment, deciding what direction I wanted my career to go next. While I was applying for jobs, I started working part-time at October Creative, as a hand model in food recipe videos. They quickly encouraged me to step behind the camera and learn the ins and outs of photography and cinematography.
From brainstorming storyboards to collaborating with clients on branding guidelines and text packages, I scripted, filmed, and led cinematography for over 100 client videos. Can you guess which video below I both filmed and was hands in?!
I’ve been able to work on various other video projects since working with October Creative. One that will always stand out was broadcasting Alex Murdaugh’s 6-week double homicide trial with Luna Shark Media.

live broadcasts
While the majority of my video work with Luna Shark Media is behind a paywall, here are two public live broadcasts that I managed.
I have experience using Streamyard and Riverside, broadcasting to YouTube and Facebook.
